Cattaraugus Our Best, Little Valey, NY. Я её сразу к реставратору отправил. Через 3 недели будет здесь, покажу в нормальном виде. Думаю что это конец 1800 скорее всего 1886-1895.

Cattaraugus Cutlery Company

The Cattaraugus Cutlery Company began as the New York distribution company J.B.F. Champlin and Son, founded by John Champlin and his son Tint in 1882. The Champlins expanded into knife production, and along with William R. Case and his brothers, they formed Cattaraugus Cutlery in 1886, based in Little Valley. The company hired expert cutlers from Germany, England, and other U.S. manufacturers, to produce high quality cutlery. Admiral Byrd selected Cattaraugus knives to take on his expedition to the South Pole.

Over time, the Case family separated from Cattaraugus to form W. R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co., incorporated in 1905. Cattaraugus closed business in 1963.

W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company is an American manufacturer of traditional pocketknives, fixed blades/sporting knives, limited edition commemoratives and collectibles. The company originated in Little Valley, New York around the turn of the twentieth century before relocating to its current home, Bradford, Pennsylvania, in 1905. The company's namesake, William Russell Case, first made knives with his brothers under the name, Case Brothers Cutlery Company. His son, John Russell ("Russ") Case, worked as a salesman for his father's company before founding W.R. Case & Sons.

Little Valley is a village in Cattaraugus County, New York, USA. The population was 1,130 at the 2000 census.

The Village of Little Valley is in the northwest corner of the Town of Little Valley. Little Valley is the county seat of Cattaraugus County and also the location of the county fair (held in August in the fairgrounds north of the village). The village is north of Salamanca, New York.

The town's name is a relative comparison of two tributaries (the other being the neighboring Great Valley) of the Allegheny River.
